Dear Dooly County School System Families and Staff, Due to the potential for severe weather tomorrow and out of an abundance caution, Dooly County School System will have an inclement weather day on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Students, faculty, and staff will not report to the schools. All after-school activities are canceled for tomorrow. Please follow the guidance issued in weather reports and stay safe. Thank you.

During last week’s District Leadership Team meeting, the following DCSS leaders were recognized for their participation, contributing thoughts, and leadership during the month of August. Game balls of the month were given to Mr. Rodney Daniels (Dooly County K8 Assistant Principal) and Ms. Latorri West (DCSS Instructional Specialist). The “committed to growth” plant was presented to Mrs. Carla Mahone (Pre-K Director/Intervention Teacher). Mrs. Meredith Lester (Public Relations Director) was the recipient of the “Bobby the Bobcat” for her behind the scenes efforts, seamless support, and invaluable contributions to the success of the district. #ThisIsDooly #IAmDooy #WeAreDooly #CommittedtoGrowth

Attention Dooly County K-8 Academy Parents! The 21st CCLC 2023-2024 Afterschool Program Registration forms were sent home on August 16, 2023. The program will operate Mondays-Thursdays from 3:15 PM to 6:25 PM beginning September 5, 2023. All Dooly County School students in grades K-12 are eligible for the program. Students will receive homework help, tutoring, enrichment, recreation, and STEAM activities. A daily snack and bus transportation is provided at no cost. Slots will fill fast on a first-received, first-served basis. If you have already completed a registration form, you do not need to fill out another. We would love to have your child(ren) in the program.
