As this day, Saturday, May 25, 2024, comes to a close, so does this chapter for the Dooly County High Bobcat Class of 2024! However, it is also a great beginning! In the words of Clark Atlanta University Professor, Dr. Daniel Black, "here they come y'all! Here they come! Lawyers, doctors, teachers, nurses, writers, cosmetologist, librarians, mechanical engineers, radiologists, rappers, healers, preachers, sociologist...." Anything and everything is possible! Congratulations scholars!!!

There was a lot of Bobcat Pride at the Senior Breakfast!! Many adults in the room had also attended and graduated from Doooooly!
The sign "The Tassle Was Worth the Hassle" sums up everything shared at the Senior Breakfast! Many shared that the road to graduation has not been easy, but it has been worth it! Keep rising '24!

Students thanked their parents! Parents and students thanked the teachers and administrators! The 2024 Senior Breakfast was a celebration of the village....of family....of the Dooly family! Alex Haley once said, "in every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future."

Senior week for the Class of 2024 began this week with a parade through the district/schools and downtown Vienna, but ended with a final parade across the graduation field at the Dooly High Grove this morning!
The DCHS Golden Sound of the South "Fun Day in the Park" is still ongoing at Downtown Vienna City Park next to the courthouse. You still have time to purchase hot fish and hot dogs. Donations are also welcome.

The Dooly County High School Golden Sound of the South marching band invites the community to their "Fun Day in the Park" event on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Kicking off the festivities at 1:00pm, the Golden Sound of the South will showcase their talents with an energetic performance that is sure to entertain audiences of all ages. Throughout the event, a variety of concessions will be available for purchase, including fish, hot dogs, fries, candy, snacks, and refreshing drinks.
Don't miss this exciting community celebration hosted by the Dooly County High School marching band!
The STEM Bus Tour is coming to you this summer from 2:30-4 p.m. for all school-aged students on June 12th @ Dooly Rec. Dept., Vienna and July 12th @ Jewell Bowens Park, Unadilla. The event hi-lights are STEM activities, Make & Take activities and a Book Giveaway!
