2020-2021 Most Improved Student

Dooly County K-8 Academy

Elementary School/Middle School

Elementary School’s Most Improved Student:

Rudra Patel: 2nd Grade/Mrs. Hale’s Class

Mrs. Hale stated: “At first, Rudra would not talk or respond during class. Now he is talking, one of the top readers in the MyOn Reading Initiative, and is thriving both academically and socially. Rudra tries really hard to do his best.

Middle School’s Most Improved Student:

Jeremy Perez: 7th Grade/Mrs. Woodson’s Homeroom

Ms. Woodson stated: “Jeremy was selected because he was a virtual student that faced many issues with attendance. Since his return to face-to-face instruction, he hasn’t missed a day of school. He has improved tremendously in all classes. His performance as a student has out-weighed the previous discussions from his teachers. Overall, Jeremy is a prime example of what a true ‘comeback’ is as a student for the Dooly County K-8 Academy’s Middle School.”

Ms. Woodson would also like to thank Jeremy’s parents for continuing to be involved in his education and recognizing the importance of his education.
