On Friday, February 24, 2023, it was brought to our attention that three of our flags were on the ground outside of the board office after work hours. Upon reviewing camera footage, the flags were down approximately 21 minutes. They were raised again by a Good Samaritan who noticed they were lowered during that time frame. This situation was not an intentional act of the board and is currently under further investigation. Patriotism is a core value here in The Dooly County School System, and the flags being down is not a direct reflection of our school system or what we stand for.
